Terms and Conditions

These are the terms and conditions of our agreement and apply to all purchases of products by you via our web site and you should read them carefully.

Acceptance of order

The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us.  For the avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via our site does not constitute acceptance of an order.

You're right to cancel

You have the right to cancel your order with us at any time before the expiry of 7 days from the day after ordering.

Please note that if your order has been processed we are unable to cancel it and therefore return cost is at your expense. 

If the delivery address refuse delivery of the goods or if you do not respond to the card left by your driver, your order will be returned to the sender (Babybits) and you will be charged for the return of the order.

Please note  returns charges are: - £25.00 up to 10 kilos and 58p per kilo thereafter.

 

In the unlikely event you need to return anything to us, please send an e-mail to our customer care department, service@babybitsonline.co.uk

Please put as much detail as possible in the e-mail in case it is possible to resolve the problem to your full satisfaction without returning the item. If it is necessary to return the item we will e-mail you a returns number. We ask that you include a copy of this e-mail with the returned item.

Please do not return any item without first contacting our customer care department for a returns number.

If any goods are returned owing to an error on our part, we will gladly refund your postage charges.

If any goods are returned unwanted or incorrectly ordered by you, we will either exchange or refund (subject to a 15% restocking fee) provided that all goods are returned in a perfect, saleable condition within 7 days. However, no carriage refunds can be given.

If any goods are returned which you feel are faulty and unrepairable, and covered by the manufacturer's warranty, these must be returned to us for inspection, together with your purchase receipt. If it is found to be a genuine fault of manufacture (not accidental damage, misuse, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, something that can be adjusted, or a part that can be changed), we will usually either repair or replace* it free of charge.

If any parts on the goods are faulty, or develop a fault during the 6 month guarantee period, we will send out replacements or parts free of charge, so long as they are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Any labour/fitting charges are the responsibility of the customer.

If any goods are returned claiming to be faulty which we regard as not being covered by the manufacturer's warranty, we will contact you to inform you of this. In this event, you will be liable for all postage costs.

When you receive your goods, it is important that you inspect them before signing for the delivery. If you are suspicious that the goods are damaged, or the box containing the goods looks badly damaged, then you should refuse delivery. In this event, do not sign for the goods and please contact us immediately (3 working days maximum) so that we can resolve the situation with our courier. Another item will be sent out to you as soon as possible. If you sign for the goods and subsequently find that the goods are damaged it makes it harder for us to deal with your complaint.

It is important that all original packaging is kept until you are satisfied with the goods and  are sure that they will not need to be returned. Couriers will not accept a goods if it is not in its original packaging.

* replacement goods will only be sent where the fault is deemed to have occured within a reasonable time period.
IMPORTANT NOTES

  • All postage costs relating to the returning of goods will be the responsibility of the buyer .


  • If a part is missing, damaged or broken, there is usually no need to send the whole goods back. Contact us and we will send any item(s) to you free of charge the next working day (whenever possible).

Wrong delivery address inputted

If you provide us with the wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party Babybits cannot be held responsibile for costs you incur.

Product guarantee

All items purchased from Babybits are covered by a 6 months guarantee.

We will exchange or repair any product if it displays a manufacturing fault within the 6-month guarantee.

Accidental damage and damaged caused by misuse is not covered by this guarantee and therefore a charge will be made. 

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Specifications, colour, weight and sizes

We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice.  All sizes and weights given as a guide only and are approximate.  Representation of colour are approximate due to the limitations of the photographic and calibrations of different output devices.  A name given to a product is not necessarily repesentative of the colour.  All goods are subject to availability.  If sold out, free offers may be substituted with an item of the same value.  Accessories supplied to co-ordinate with the main product may differ in shade; this is normaly caused by the manufacturing process and is not a fault.  Wood is a natural product and the grain or shade will vary from piece to piece, manufacturers nomally use different grades of wood for items such as cots and cot beds and therefore the stain can appear differently.

Privacy policy

We will not disclose any information on its customers to any third party on any occasion.  The only exception to this rule is for our courier's delivery requirements.
